This Workout Makes Me Feel Balanced, Peaceful & Beautiful

If I want to feel better about the state of my life, I go to this place and walk. I start to feel better as soon as I get out of the car. Actually, I start to feel better as soon as I make the decision to go.

About 20 minutes in, I hit my stride. I’m breathing deeply and enjoying the fresh smells. I’m loving the feel of the breeze. The view energizes my soul. The sounds of the chirping birdies are so happy, they can’t help but make me feel happy as well. My legs are warmed up and it feels like I’m getting something accomplished. It’s more than just a pleasing tour. I’m getting a workout in.

Sure, I’m not lifting heavy weights and I’m not panting on the bike as I drip sweat off the end of my nose. That doesn’t negate what I’m doing. The afterglow of this workout is one of feeling used up, like I really went for broke. This gives me a real sense of pride and accomplishment that I love.

But this workout. It gives me something different, too. Something more. I feel balanced. Peaceful. And I can honestly tell you; it feels beautiful.
