Therapie’s two year anniversary is this month. Over the past two years, we’ve had the pleasure of working with many awesome clients. Wanda was our first.
My husband and I were anxiously awaiting our first order of pillowcases. It was the end of January, 2013, and they would be arriving some time the next month. My friend Rob van Meenen, from Sleepers Mattress Factory in Saskatoon, called me.
“I have a lady who’s looking for silk pillowcases. I told her that you have some coming. You’re supposed to give her a call.”
I was panicked. What was I supposed to do? Rob made me take down her details and insisted again that she was waiting to hear from me.
Her name was Wanda and she was from a small town in Saskatchewan called Rosetown. I called. Tentatively. She was more than nice and was very excited about the pillowcases.
She told me that she had gone to see Oprah live in Saskatoon and that Oprah had insisted that everyone should be sleeping on a pure silk pillowcase. Wanda had called many stores. After exhausting a list of bed and linen stores in Saskatoon, she’d even called places in Edmonton and Calgary, to no avail.
Wanda was nice enough to wait until the shipment arrived. I’m looking at her invoice as I write this. The first ever Therapie Silk & Bamboo Pillowcase was purchased on February 8, 2013.
Wanda called me a few weeks after she received it. She raved about her Therapie pillowcase. She told me that she traveled a lot and took her pillowcase with her wherever she went. It was so nice to get that compliment. It helped to calm my nerves, as I surveyed boxes and boxes of pillowcases, wondering what I had gotten myself into.
Now, more than two years later, I’m as calm and cool as a cucumber. Therapie Silk & Bamboo Pillowcases are in homes in communities all across Canada. Compliments on our products are a regular occurrence. Now, it’s not nervousness that I feel; it’s gratitude. I am grateful for each and every one of our clients. Thank you to all for a fabulous first two years.
