Are you ready for a sneak peek into Therapie’s future? Well, it will look a little like this…
This fall, Therapie will be available in America!
My husband and I had often weighed the possibility of launching in America but we were a little shy and a little scared. Maybe we’d seen too many episodes of Dragon’s Den.
Mid-June, I got an email and a voice mail from a very nice lady named Margo from Des Moines, Iowa. She was pretty sure Therapie wasn’t available in America but could she please buy a Silk & Bamboo Pillowcase? I was flabbergasted and a little worried. I didn’t know anything about the process of selling to someone in the States. How did that work? I started by calling Margo back. Of course, she was very nice and excited. Of course, as always, for better or for worse, I was honest. “Congratulations, Margo. You are our first American customer. And I have no idea about what I’m doing.”
I told her that I needed to see if my payment processor would accept an American credit card. I also needed to call Revenue Canada to see what procedures to follow. “I’m cutting my teeth on you, Margo,” I told her.
She happily agreed to wait until I called her back. Then, on June 16, 2015, Therapie processed its first American order. I was amazed and delighted. A little over a week later, Margo texted me. She exclaimed, “I REALLY enjoy my silk pillowcase!”
Our first entry into America couldn’t have gone better. And, soon, we’ll make an official announcement that Therapie is available to our American neighbours.
What else can you expect in Therapie’s future? New products. Oh, so many cool new products.
Every couple of months, we’ll add unique, proven, helpful beauty and wellness products that I stake my reputation on and can’t live without.
Finally, this blog will live on. More wellness bits and tips, as well as info on new Therapie products, discounts, giveaways and more will be posted here.
So, here’s to Year Three of Therapie. Here’s to wellness. And most importantly, here’s to you. Thank you for coming along for the ride.
