Tonight, before bedtime, consider brushing your hair. If you can, get into your jammies, get your makeup off, and start the bedtime prep routine. Then, brush your hair. Brush it out slowly and gently. Take your time.
Pay attention to your scalp. Brushing our hair can relax the scalp. This can reduce tension and help us sleep better. Sometimes a tight, tense scalp can give us a bit of a headache. Even just a low grade, little one could impact sleep negatively.
Releasing any tension in the scalp is also a skincare beauty secret. Some muscles in the face have scalp muscle sisters. They’re influenced by their siblings in the scalp. When the scalp is tight, it can cause tension in facial muscles. Relax the scalp and you may indirectly relax the muscles of the face for a softer, more open and peaceful expression.
Brushing our hair stimulates circulation in the hair follicles. This can promote oxygen and vital nutrients flowing into the follicles and keeping them healthy so they produce nice hair.
As you brush your hair, close your eyes and take a nice, deep, calming breath. What a great way to end the day and prepare for your real beautiful sleep.
