Feet are marvelous and always under-loved in comparison to the services they perform.
There are 26 bones in each foot. Together, this makes up 25% of the bones in the whole body. There are over 30 joints in each foot. These feet of ours are elaborate and intricate bits of machinery.
The feet also have fewer sebaceous or oil glands but more sweat glands. This means feet can get more sweaty than most body parts but they are also more prone to dryness. They need added hydration.
How often do you give your tender tooties a little rub? If you’re like me, not often enough. And I’ve noticed, as I creep up on 50, my feet feel tired and sore more often than before.
It doesn’t take much. My husband Quentin applies lotion to his feet fairly consistently at bedtime. A little rub, a little moisture. His feet are better off than mine for it.
Soon it will be Sandal Wearing Season. Let’s get into the habit now of giving our feet a little love, not just so they look better but so they feel better also.
To celebrate that Spring has sprung, I’ll give you a deeply hydrating disposable booties foot masque treatment with the purchase of each and every Therapie Silk and Bamboo Pillowcase. And I’ll pay for your shipping across Canada as well.
Happy Spring – and happy feet! #TherapieThursday
