I don’t know what the temperatures are for you today but I woke up to -39!
I know the farmers will be happy in Summer. Cold like this kills bugs that can bother crops. It’s nature’s best fumigation. This is one of the reasons that Saskatchewan produces some of the best quality crops internationally. In the Summer, farmers appreciate the harsh prairie cold of Winter.
That’s great for the farmers as they stand in their fields in bright Summer sunshine and admire their handiwork. Right now, I need to think warm thoughts. I’m focusing on the fact that we have less than two months to go until the first official day of Spring!
It’s not a good idea to be an overly optimistic person. I think we need to balance pure optimism with practical realism. However, it’s best to focus the positive when it’s colder beyond cold. I’m going to focus on these beautiful flowers and look forward to a couple months from now when I can wear a Tshirt instead of my parka
