Exercise for your hair and skin (I’m cheering you on!)

No, I’m not going to preach to you about exercising for your health today. I’m going to cheer you on – move for a full head of hair and skin that looks younger than your age; skin that is clear!

That’s right. Regular exercise helps to reduce acne, and it’s a big anti ager for skin. It can also give you a fuller, healthier head of hair. Exercise dramatically increases circulation. Increased blood flow means more cellular nourishment everywhere – scalp hair follicles and skin included.

In times of stress, the body shunts blood away from non-essential organs – skin is an organ – and drops it all into arms and legs to prepare for fight or flight. Further, large amounts of stress can result in hair loss. Regular exercise helps to reduce stress hormones that ravage skin. It also helps to deter that stress-related hair loss.

Well, maybe I will preach to you about the other benefits – just a little bit. You’ll have a trimmer figure, and not just by burning calories. Moving your body regularly decreases appetite. It also releases feel-good chemicals in the brain that substantially improve mood and reduce pain in the body.

Exercise. Moving the body. Not just for your health – for luscious hair and skin that is youthful and clear.
