Feet start looking tough in August. The exciting, beginning of summer pedi has long disappeared. What nail polish that remains is chipped and cracked and likely, so are those heels. Here is a little DIY (Do It Yourself) trick for some serious feet exfoliation and hydration – all in one time saving step.
Take some olive oil and mix it with some brown sugar. Rub it all over clean dry feet. Rub, massage. Massage, rub. Don’t get aggressive – your feet are your ride. They get you from point A to point B and they deserve some respect, in addition to this TLC you are giving them. Once you are satisfied, wash with soap, rinse and pat dry.
The fats in pure olive oil are health, skin nourishing fats. Brown sugar is an excellent source of Glycolic Acid – a very popular and common exfoliating ingredient found in many different skin care products. The grit of the brown sugar is a second form of exfoliation.
Those little piggies will want to go to market; they’ll be looking spiffy and renewed.
